《月光下的夜祭》Beneath the Moon
《月光下的夜祭》是一本描繪高雄甲仙小林部落開向祭典的繪本，由小林社區發展協會於 2024 年夜祭當日出版。Mata Taiwan 作為整體企劃執行者，深度參與從發想、主題定位，到外籍插畫家媒合、雙語編輯與發行等各個製作環節，協助族人將珍貴的文化記憶具象為一本對內傳承、對外溝通的圖像出版品。
繪本以部落女孩 Buan 為主角，帶領讀者走進夜祭儀式現場——從竹林、公廨到祖靈 Kuba 所引導的精神旅程，細膩描繪當代小林大武壠族人如何在現實與信仰間找回文化脈絡。全書以中文、英文與族語註解三語呈現，讓不同背景的讀者都能共感理解這場族群集體記憶。
Taa-Hahuhahuha is a bilingual picture book released during the 2024 Night Ceremony in Siaolin, Kaohsiung. Co-created with Mata Taiwan, the project transformed community memory into a visual narrative through curatorial work spanning concept, theme, and multilingual editing—including the pairing of an Indonesian illustrator from a fellow Austronesian culture.
Told through the eyes of a young girl named Buan—meaning “the Moon”—the book leads readers into the ritual world of the Taivoan, from bamboo groves to ancestral shrines, tracing how faith and daily life intertwine to preserve cultural memory in contemporary Siaolin.
